Do you call Oak Tree your church home?
Every week during our service a leader stands up and says, “If you’re a visitor here, as we take our offering, please don’t feel like you need to give, this service is our gift to you.” Maybe thats you, maybe you are a visitor to our site, we would invite you to join us on a Sunday morning and see what God is doing at Oak Tree. …but maybe you’ve been attending for awhile, and you have heard that “don’t feel like you need to give” more than a few times. Maybe you have been coming regularly, or even become a member, and now you DO consider Oak Tree to be your church home. You are looking for a way to be a part of what God is doing through Oak Tree to bless our community and our world. We want to give you a new and simple way to give to God’s work.
Do you not use your checkbook for anything other than rent?
We get it. “Cash is king” isn’t actually true for most of us anymore, and if you’re like many of us, your checkbook is in a drawer collecting dust. To make it easier to give we’ve implemented several new options for managing your giving.
- Online giving – use your smartphone, tablet, or computer to give online from the website.
- Text giving – give straight from your smartphone by sending a text message with any amount to:
- 84321 – the first time you send a message, you will be directed to follow a link to select Oak Tree as the church you wish to give to, and to configure your payment method and options. Its quick and should only take a few minutes, from then on you’re able to give just by sending the text!
Both of these options are secure and give you the choice of setting up recurring giving.
But I already have automatic giving configured with my bank or bill pay online…
Awesome! We appreciate your commitment to the work God is doing through our church! You don’t have to change anything, your existing methods of giving will all continue to work without any issue, and if you’d still prefer to write a check there’s nothing wrong with that either. These new giving options are just that, new options. Our goal is that for some people they are easier and more in line with how they manage their finances already. If they’re not for you or you’re happy with your current method of giving they won’t have any impact on you.
Every week Pastor Steve closes his sermons with this question. What should we take away from the message this week? What is an actionable step we can take towards improving or growing our relationship with God?
